Marknad was launched by Paketboden Ab in March 2020 to help small businesses start selling online. We wanted to reduce the risks and investment requirements for launching a web store while giving same features as an enterprise e-commerce solution.
We noticed that small business owners are overwhelmed by costs, technical complexity and lack of turn-key solutions in the market. We also noticed that WooCommerce has received a bad reputation because some businesses have tried to run WooCommerce in under powered shared hosting accounts.
Marknad runs WooCommerce with performance modifications on a scalable hosting platform. Marknad can easily grow automatically as your business grows.

Mohanjith Sudirikku Hannadige
Marknad is lead by S H Mohanjith, a serial entrepreneur and programmer who has been programming since he was fourteen and has participated in many algorithm competitions including International Olympiad in Informatics. He also has more than 14 years of professional experience in wide array of technologies he gained while working at Orange HRM, WSO2 and Incsub. He was born and raised in Sri Lanka and currently living in Kimitoön, Finland.
He has been working with WordPress since 2008. He has in-depth knowledge of WordPress and it’s inner workings. He also has made numerous WordPress plugins that you could find at WordPress Plugin Directory and WPMU Dev. He has been part of Edublogs team since 2010 and brought many innovations to the Edublogs and CampusPress.
